3rd EMES PhD Summer School

The three SE pillars: Social Entrepreneurship, Social Economy and Solidarity Economy

EMES and its two institutional Italian members, Euricse and AICCON, jointly organise the third EMES PhD Summer School aimed at young researchers at PhD and Masters levels who are attracted to conduct research in the wide fields of social entrepreneurship and social enterprise, social economy and  solidarity economy.

Results of the selection process by 16 April 2012.
If accepted, participants must formalise their registration by 14 May 2012.
Registered participants are expected to arrive on 4 July 2012.

In the framework of the 3th EMES PhD Summer School, we're thrilled to share with you that we have received 70 applications from PhD candidates from more than 35 countries all over the world! We are really proud to have representatives from all continents: Africa (Ethiopia, Republic of Congo, South Africa), Asia (China, Japan, Korea), Australia, Latin and North America (U.S., Canada, Colombia, and Brazil), as well as Western and Eastern Europe. It's a pleasure to see that female PhD candidates represent a majority of applicants with (40 over 70 total candidates) The applicants cover various disciplines, varying from Economics, Political and Social Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Environmental and Demographic Studies, and so forth. This variety of interests emphasizes the multidisciplinary character of the social economy and social enterprise at large, and will represent a crucial asset for the participants who will have the occasion to deal with their research topics from different points of view.
