{"id":26534,"date":"2025-02-28T10:30:07","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T10:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euricse.eu\/?p=26534"},"modified":"2025-04-03T15:49:54","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T14:49:54","slug":"trento-international-research-colloquium-on-cooperatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euricse.eu\/en\/trento-international-research-colloquium-on-cooperatives\/","title":{"rendered":"Trento International Research Colloquium on Cooperatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"256\" data-end=\"605\">In celebration of the\u00a0<strong data-start=\"278\" data-end=\"321\">2025 International Year of Cooperatives<\/strong>, <strong>EURICSE<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>University of Trento<\/strong>, the <strong>International Cooperative Alliance Global Committee on Cooperative Research<\/strong> (ICA CCR), our network, and <strong>CIRIEC International<\/strong>, is organizing a\u00a0<strong data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"602\">Thematic Research Colloquium on Cooperatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"1058\">This colloquium complements a series of conferences already scheduled for the International Year of Cooperatives, including events organized by CIRIEC, EMES, the European Commission, ICA, and other key organizations. The event aims to shine a spotlight on the positive impact of cooperatives and the broader social and solidarity economy, while fostering academic exchange and advancing cooperative enterprise knowledge during this global celebration.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"1058\"><strong>The Colloquium will be held in Trento, Italy, on 30th and 31st May 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"1065\" data-end=\"1095\"><strong data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1093\">Colloquium Rationale<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"1096\" data-end=\"1508\">The primary goal of the\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1173\">International Research Colloquium on Cooperatives<\/strong>\u00a0is to stimulate the co-design of shared research agendas by scholars and their networks. These networks are already engaged in investigating the roles, impact, limitations, and potential of cooperatives, drawing from various disciplines such as economics, law, sociology, management, political science, history, geography, and others.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"1720\">The colloquium will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss and collaborate on cooperative research, focusing on diverse geographic regions, including Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.<\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1769\"><strong data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"1767\">Key Objectives\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"1770\" data-end=\"1838\">Drawing on the research findings achieved so far, participants will:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"2338\">\n<li data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"1943\"><strong data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"1853\">Reflect<\/strong>\u00a0on the capacity and limitations of cooperatives in addressing pressing global challenges.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1944\" data-end=\"2096\"><strong data-start=\"1946\" data-end=\"1968\">Critically discuss<\/strong>\u00a0new research avenues to explore in the coming years, both for individual scholars and the wider cooperative research community.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2097\" data-end=\"2338\"><strong data-start=\"2099\" data-end=\"2110\">Explore<\/strong>\u00a0the differences and similarities across the participating networks, focusing on:\n<ul data-start=\"2194\" data-end=\"2338\">\n<li data-start=\"2194\" data-end=\"2230\">Research topics and areas of focus<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2233\" data-end=\"2282\">Methodologies, theories, and funding mechanisms<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2285\" data-end=\"2338\">Organizational structures and institutional support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2588\" data-end=\"2628\"><\/h3>\n<h5 data-start=\"2588\" data-end=\"2628\"><strong data-start=\"2592\" data-end=\"2626\">\u00a0Participation<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"2629\" data-end=\"2995\">Each co-organizing institution relies on its members to represent and participate it, so EMES is calling on our active members to express their interest in joining the colloquium.
