The International Labour Organisation officially launched two\u00a0Technical Working Groups<\/strong>\u00a0to improve\u00a0statistics on cooperatives\u00a0<\/strong>and the broader\u00a0Social and Solidarity Economy<\/strong>\u00a0(SSE), as part of a wider collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the visibility and impact of these entities, paving the way for informed policymaking.
\nThe groups, composed of approximately 30 experts with a balanced institutional, geographical and sectoral representation, will work on the development of shared methodologies.\u00a0Senior researcher\u00a0Chiara Carini\u00a0<\/strong>is participating on behalf of EURICSE. The groups held their first technical sessions on the 28th and 29th of April, marking the beginning of their in-depth work to establish globally applicable statistical frameworks for cooperatives and the SSE.<\/p>\n
