How can access to essential services be ensured in rural and inland areas? This will be discussed in the webinar \u201cSIEG and telemedicine: organisational models for ensuring essential services in rural areas\u201d, scheduled for Thursday 7th May 2026<\/strong>, from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. \u00a0<\/strong>
\nOrganised by EURICSE<\/strong>, the Trentino Federation of Cooperatives<\/strong> and Borghi IN Rete<\/strong> as part of the ESIRA project<\/a> \u2013 Enhancing Social Innovation in Rural Areas, funded by the European Commission through the Horizon Europe programme, the event offers a comparison of regulatory instruments, organisational models and local experiences.<\/p>\n

The focus will be on the role of Services of General Economic Interest (SGEI), which are particularly well-developed in the Trentino region, and on the piloting of telemedicine in inland areas, such as the experience in the municipality of Calascio (Abruzzo).<\/p>\n
