From 14 to 17 October<\/strong> Euricse will participate in the global conference Cooperatives for Development<\/a> and General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance<\/a> in Kigali, Rwanda<\/strong>. The aim of the conference is to celebrate cooperatives\u2019 vital contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals<\/a> (SDGs) and we are happy to guarantee our presence in such an important moment of sharing and debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference will show the contributions made by cooperatives in different sectors and regions to sustainable development, including economic, social and environmental impacts. The sessions will highlight not only the achievements to date, but also the untapped potential cooperatives bring to development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euricse\u2019s Ilana Gotz<\/strong>, together with the Secretary General, Gianluca Salvatori<\/strong>, will attend the conference, bringing a preview of the 2019 World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) report<\/strong>. This year\u2019s Top 300<\/strong> ranking will be released in October along with a report on large cooperatives and their contribution to SDG 8<\/strong> \u2013 Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all (download the 2018 WCM here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kigali we aim to share the work that goes into building the WCM <\/a>and encourage further participation from cooperatives and federations from all around the world.
