The report aims to examine the impact of social cooperatives for work integration in the Italian context, highlighting their growth and key role in providing regular employment to over 30,000 disadvantaged individuals in 2013. Cost-benefit analysis is used to quantify the savings in public expenditure resulting from the employment of these workers in social cooperatives, comparing the incentive costs incurred with the benefits generated from increased tax revenues and reduced public spending.<\/p>\n

The sources of income for the cooperatives, the characteristics of the individuals involved, and the professional outcomes achieved are also examined, in order to fully understand the social and economic impact of these organizations.<\/p>\n
