The report assesses the current state of implementation of the Statute for a European Cooperative Society in the 30 EU\/EEA Member States. The report maps existing SCEs, analyses the factors influencing their creation and offers policy recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the legislation. Key issues include legal aspects, such as limited liability for members and the possibility to transfer the registered office, as well as implementation and awareness-raising challenges at national level.<\/p>\n<p>The Report was drafted by Euricse\u2019s Senior Research Fellow Professor Antonio Fici (University of Rome \u201cTor Vergata\u201d) with the contribution of Gianluca Salvatori (Euricse Secretary General) and Barbara Franchini (Euricse Senior Project Manager).<\/p>\n<p>Please cite this Report as: EURICSE (2024).
