Social Economy in the spotlight
The social economy is gaining increasing attention on an international level, setting the stage for an alliance, also in Italy, among all the organizations operating in the sector. Within this context, three important events will take place in Bologna in October. The Metropolitan City of Bologna will present (October 18-19) its Plan for the Social and Solidarity Economy, constructed through a participatory and shared process. The Italian Alliance of Cooperatives (Oct. 20) will discuss its Manifesto for the Social Economy with national and European figures, including Commissioner Nicolas Schmit. Finally (Oct. 21) the year of Italy’s presidency of the Luxembourg Declaration Committee, which introduces the Commission’s Recommendation to the European Council on the social economy, will conclude with a public event. Euricse will actively contribute to all these initiatives, bringing expertise derived from over a decade of research and analysis on topics related to the social economy.
