EURICSE at the 2nd International Congress on Social Economy

1 December 2025

Barbara Franchini, senior project manager at EURICSE, spoke at the 2nd International Congress on Social Economy, organised in Salamanca (Spain) by ASECYL, the Association of representative entities of the Social Economy of Castile and León. Her speech focused on some of the results and prospects that emerged from the International Research Colloquium on Cooperatives. The initiative, promoted last May as part of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, was organised by EURICSE in collaboration with the International Cooperative Alliance Global Committee on Cooperative Research (ICA CCR), the EMES network, CIRIEC International, the University of Trento and the Trentino Federation of Cooperation, and brought together scholars from around the world in Trento to discuss the future trajectories of research on cooperation.
Franchini also presented the results of some research activities on which the Institute has recently focused, aimed at interpreting the changes underway in the social economy, with particular attention to the digital transition processes that are redefining organisational models, services and impacts on communities.
