SIEG and telemedicine in rural areas

20 April 2026

How can access to essential services be ensured in rural and inland areas? This will be discussed in the webinar “SIEG and telemedicine: organisational models for ensuring essential services in rural areas”, scheduled for Thursday 7th May 2026, from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
Organised by EURICSE, the Trentino Federation of Cooperatives and Borghi IN Rete as part of the ESIRA project – Enhancing Social Innovation in Rural Areas, funded by the European Commission through the Horizon Europe programme, the event offers a comparison of regulatory instruments, organisational models and local experiences.

The focus will be on the role of Services of General Economic Interest (SGEI), which are particularly well-developed in the Trentino region, and on the piloting of telemedicine in inland areas, such as the experience in the municipality of Calascio (Abruzzo).

The event will take place on Zoom, but you must first register for the webinar via this link.
