European debate on Competence Centres for Social Innovation
On the 8th and the 9th of September, Athens will host the Mutual Learning Event entitled “National Competence Centres: Strengthening the Contribution”, dedicated to the role of National Competence Centres (NCCs) in strengthening social innovation ecosystems and their capacity to respond to social challenges. Gianluca Salvatori will participate as Secretary-General of EURICSE and Vice-President of ICCSI, the Italian Competence Centre on Social Innovation. In Italy, EURICSE is a partner of the SEED2SCALE EU funded project and is involved in the development of ICCSI, alongside the City of Turin, the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Polytechnic University of Milan, the University of Bologna and the Giacomo Brodolini Foundation.
Through keynote speeches, round-table discussions and collaborative activities, the two-day event will provide an opportunity for mutual learning and discussion on the experiences of the centres of expertise, the skills they have developed and their role in supporting the development, dissemination and evaluation of social innovation.
