ESIRA: 4th General Assembly in Poland

3 November 2025

From the 15th to the 17th of October, the 4th General Assembly of the European project ESIRA (Enhancing Social Innovation in Rural Areas) project took place in the Leski-Bieszczadzki area, located in the mountainous Podkarpackie region of Poland. Funded by the Horizon Europe programme, the initiative aims to promote social innovation and the social economy as key drivers for strengthening rural communities and fostering the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, EURICSE, involved both as a research partner and as a MAP Monitor, organised a focus group to identify the main enabling factors and barriers affecting social economy initiatives in rural and marginal areas. The results will help support MAP Managers and develop new operational, educational and training initiatives with the aim of strengthening community-led social innovation.
