Euricse’s Panels at Trento Festival of Economics Promote Dialogue on Sustainable Development

The panels organized by Euricse at the Trento Festival of Economics garnered great success as they focused on crucial topics for a new model of sustainable development. Three panels, namely Social Economy, Energy Communities, and Shared Administration, facilitated discussions and dialogue among experts and participants.

The Social Economy panel witnessed the participation of prominent national and international speakers. Gianluca Salvatori, Secretary General of Euricse, moderated the session and highlighted the significant role of the social economy in the European agenda’s political priorities. Sarah de Heusch, Director of Social Economy Europe, emphasized the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders. Maurizio Gardini, President of the Italian Cooperative Alliance, underscored the role of cooperatives in the social economy. He highlighted their significance in ensuring social cohesion in inland areas of the country, where the state may withdraw, and speculative markets are absent. Giuseppe Consoli, President of ITAS Mutua, presented the perspective of mutual organizations in fostering balanced and sustainable economic development. He emphasized their active participation in community life and their contributions to achieving these goals. Antonio Parenti, the European Commission representative in Italy, provided an institutional perspective on European policies supporting the social economy. His insights shed light on the efforts undertaken at the European level to promote and facilitate the growth of the social economy sector.

Overall, the panels organized by Euricse at the Trento Festival of Economics offered valuable insights and fostered meaningful discussions on sustainable development.
