The International Cooperative Alliance Committee on Cooperative Research Europe (ICA CCR Europe) will host its 2025 conference in Helsinki, Finland, on June 12–13, 2025. Organized by the University of Eastern Finland in collaboration with the University of Helsinki, the event will gather researchers, academics, and practitioners to discuss the theme “Cooperative Identity – Who are we as a movement, as a form of organization, and as cooperators?”.

With 2025 designated as the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives, the conference will focus on exploring cooperative identity from both traditional and contemporary perspectives. The event aims to encourage diverse and innovative approaches to understanding the cooperative movement and its role in society.

The two-day conference in Helsinki will feature:

  • Keynote presentations from leading academics and professionals.
  • Roundtable discussions and panels on key topics in cooperative research.
  • Parallel sessions showcasing diverse studies.
  • A welcome reception hosted by the City of Helsinki.
