ILO’s Technical Working Groups on Cooperative and Social and Solidarity Economy Statistics
The International Labour Organisation officially launched two Technical Working Groups to improve statistics on cooperatives and the broader Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), as part of a wider collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the visibility and impact of these entities, paving the way for informed policymaking.
The groups, composed of approximately 30 experts with a balanced institutional, geographical and sectoral representation, will work on the development of shared methodologies. Senior researcher Chiara Carini is participating on behalf of EURICSE. The groups held their first technical sessions on the 28th and 29th of April, marking the beginning of their in-depth work to establish globally applicable statistical frameworks for cooperatives and the SSE.
