Italy approves the National Action Plan for the Social Economy
With the approval of the National Action Plan for the Social Economy, Italy recognises the strategic role of the sector in promoting more inclusive, sustainable and participatory development. Following the information presented to the Council of Ministers, which formally launched the Plan’s process, the Parliamentary Intergroup for the Social Economy met on the 21st of July, bringing together some of the organisations that contributed to its development, including EURICSE.
Opening the meeting, EURICSE Secretary General Gianluca Salvatori presented our report Social Economy 2025, the result of a collaborative process that brings together research, institutions, public policy and local communities, offering an analysis of the transformations currently underway and the contribution that the social economy can make to the Italy’s future.
The next challenge will be to translate the Plan’s objectives into concrete policies and actions to support social economy organisations and their contribution to the development of territories and communities.
