Giacomo Pisani

Experienced Researcher

Giacomo Pisani holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Bari and a PhD in Rights and Institutions from the University of Turin.

At Euricse, he focuses on welfare and territorial healthcare, labor, and new forms of collaboration between public administrations and the Third Sector. He is a scholar in philosophy and sociology of law. He won the 2021 post-doctoral grant from the Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto Foundation, on behalf of Euricse, by presenting a research project on civil service in the Trentino context as a training tool to facilitate the integration of young people into the workforce and society.

After completing his Ph.D., he conducted research as a research fellow and scholarship holder at the University of Turin, the IISF (Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies), and the AIRI (Italian Association for Industrial Research). He is part of the editorial boards of the “Rivista di Filosofia del diritto” (Journal of Philosophy of Law) and the journal “Sociologia del diritto” (Sociology of Law).

In June 2023, he unanimously obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the position of second-tier university professor in Philosophy of Law (IUS/20).

He is the author of the monographs “Welfare and Transformations of Labor” (Ediesse, 2019) and “Digital Platforms and Self-Determination” (Mucchi, 2023), as well as numerous essays in national and international journals.
