Giulio Galdi

Experienced Researcher

Giulio Galdi holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Pisa and earned a PhD in Development Economics and Local Systems in 2019 from the Universities of Trento and Florence. His dissertation, which examined the impacts of climate change on inequality and trade, was awarded the Colombaria Prize 2022 by the Accademia Colombaria.

From 2019 to 2021, he conducted research and evaluations on European climate policy at the University of Siena and the European University Institute in Fiesole. Subsequently, as a research fellow at the University of Trento (2021–2024), he focused on energy consumption and water-saving practices in agriculture.

He is currently an experienced researcher at Euricse, where he analyses the economic dimensions of cooperatives and investigates the adoption of innovative technologies and practices for the twin transition.

He has teaching experience in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programmes and is committed to public engagement on environmental and climate issues through articles, interviews, and online video lectures.
