Matteo Borzaga
Matteo Borzaga is Full Professor of Labour Law at the Faculty of Law and the School of International Studies of the University of Trento, where he also serves as Deputy Director. He is also the Rector’s Delegate for Legal Affairs, with responsibility for supplementary collective bargaining for the University’s technical and administrative staff. Since 2019, he has served as Equal Opportunities Adviser for Employment at the Autonomous Province of Trento.
His research interests span the international, European and national dimensions of labour law, as demonstrated by his more than 150 publications. In recent years, his work has focused in particular on the International Labour Organization’s latest policies, with reference to core labour standards and decent work, combating discrimination in the workplace, and the legal aspects of the employment inclusion of people with disabilities and disadvantaged groups, including through innovative applications of network contracts.
At EURICSE, he teaches modules and lectures on organisational, legal and contractual issues, with a particular focus on employment relations and the specific regulatory framework governing social enterprises.
