The EU Proximity and Social Economy Platform is live
28 February 2025
On February 6th, the European Commission officially launched the EU Proximity and Social Economy Transition Pathway Platform. EURICSE is helping to develop this new space, designed to promote collaboration, learning, and resource-sharing to support Europe’s green and digital transition.
This platform is based on the Transition Pathways co-created by the European Commission and stakeholders active in the proximity and social economy, aiming to support Europe’s transition to a sustainable, resilient, and competitive economy. The stakeholder support platform is launched by DG Grow, with implementation support from Euricse, Diesis Network, EY and Social Economy Europe. The Platform follows a participatory approach, empowering bottom-up initiatives and strengthening the proximity and social economy ecosystem.
Join the community to connect, share knowledge, and stay tuned on upcoming activities. The first technical session “Connecting for change: navigating the green transition” will be held on the 4th of April, with a focus on food systems, energy production, and collaborative cities and communities. More information on the event will be available in the coming weeks.
