Proximity and social economy in the EU’s new agenda
On the 6th of October 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, the online event “Forging Alliances for the Twin Transition: Proximity and Social Economy in the EU’s New Agenda” will take place. The initiative is part of the EU Proximity and Social Economy Platform, promoted by the European Commission, also carried out with the contribution of EURICSE. During the event, Gianluca Salvatori, EURICSE Secretary General, will deliver a keynote speech on how skills, research, and strategic alliances can strengthen the social economy and drive the green and digital twin transition. The programme will also feature discussions on the New European Bauhaus, case studies of social innovation, the EU Action Plan for the Social Economy, and potential synergies with other European platforms, such as the EU Tourism Platform and the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.
