Resilient communities and local solutions
On Friday 27th of June, the third technical session within the EU Platform for Social and Proximity Economy dedicated to resilient communities and innovative solutions for economic and social development took place online. Two case studies were presented, one urban and one rural, showing examples of community regeneration in Europe. Suzanne Pergal, from the Métropole du Grand Paris, illustrated the role of the social economy in urban civic engagement, while Ilias Filandros, an expert in social economy and Konstantinos Papadakis, president of the Union of Social and Solidarity Economy Organisations of Crete, presented rural experiences with positive impacts on the territory. Parallel sessions, in closing, facilitated the exchange between experts and the sharing of good practices.
