Information Notice on the Processing of Personal Data
Introduction
You are invited to participate in the ESIRA project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme. ESIRA aims to strengthen social innovation and inclusive development in rural communities through the co-design of Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs), capacity-building activities, and concrete pilot initiatives. Your contribution, as local stakeholders, is essential for designing and implementing solutions that respond to the real needs of your territory.
Purpose of the Research
The main objectives of the ESIRA project are to:
- facilitate the co-creation of sustainable models of social innovation in rural areas;
- promote collaboration among local authorities, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, social enterprises, and citizens;
- produce guidelines and operational tools for policymakers and practitioners, in order to scale successful initiatives.
Voluntary Participation and Withdrawal
Participation is entirely voluntary. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without providing a reason and without any consequences. In the event of withdrawal, the data collected up to that point may be used in anonymized form.
Risks and Possible Discomfort
Participation in the project involves minimal risks. Some topics discussed may require reflection on personal experiences or may be sensitive. You are always free to skip any questions you consider inappropriate.
Benefits
Participation does not involve direct financial benefits, but it will contribute to:
- developing social innovation strategies;
- improving local services;
- strengthening the resilience of rural communities.
Participants will also receive summaries of the project results and policy recommendations.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
All collected information will be treated confidentially, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679). Data will be pseudonymized or anonymized prior to analysis. Only authorized personnel will have access to identifying data, which will be stored on secure, encrypted servers. Results will be published exclusively in aggregated form.
Use and Sharing of Data
Pseudonymized data may be shared among project partners solely for research purposes via secure platforms. The data will not be used for commercial purposes. At the end of the project, they will be stored for a limited period and then deleted.
Data Retention
All data collected within the ESIRA project will be retained for a maximum period of five years after the conclusion of the project (until December 2032). After this period, the data will be securely deleted in accordance with GDPR and national data protection regulations. Audio recordings will be anonymized or deleted once transcription and verification are completed.
