Social and Solidarity Economy in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals

On April 18, 2023 the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution recognizing the crucial role of the Social and Solidarity Economy in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This vote is a milestone for the international recognition of the SSE, which is gaining momentum since 2022, with the OECD-OCDE recommendation and the definition adopted by the International Labour Organization.
Euricse, as observer of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE), has been part of the discussion over the last few years and welcomes the UN resolution on promoting the SSE for sustainable development and strongly believes in the potential of the SSE to contribute to a fairer and more sustainable economy.
