EURICSE published the new research report “Solidarity shops in Italy: more than just food distribution”, as part of the project “Enterprising communities in search of social transformation practices”. The study provides an updated snapshot of solidarity-based food emporiums in Italy as of 2025, examining organizational models, and territorial networks through relevant case studies. The findings highlight how these emporiums have evolved beyond spaces for the distribution of essential goods, becoming places of relationship-building, listening, and community engagement. As such, they contribute to strengthening social cohesion and fostering empowerment within local communities.
