The 17th Workshop on Cooperative and Responsible Finance for Development has successfully concluded

22 June 2026

Organised by EURICSE in collaboration with the University of Trento-Department of Economics and Management and Federcasse BCC, and supported by the European Association of Co-operative Banks, the Workshop has established itself over the years as a key forum for dialogue between research, cooperative finance and the cooperative banking system.

This year’s edition focused on the role of bank credit and cooperative banks in territorial development and in supporting the sustainable transition of enterprises. Discussions addressed key themes such as regulation, governance, sustainability, climate risk, and the impacts of digitalisation, technological innovation and artificial intelligence.

A particular focus was placed on regional development and community banks, highlighting the importance of social and relational infrastructure in economic transformation processes.

We warmly thank all speakers, researchers and participants from different countries for contributing to the high quality and international scope of the debate.
