UNTFSSE Encyclopedia of the Social and Solidarity Economy
The UNTFSSE Encyclopedia of the Social and Solidarity Economy has been uploaded to the UNTFSSE Knowledge Hub website and Edward Elgar Companion Website (Resource website and Main book page).
Euricse contributed to this important project with three original entries:
- two by Riccardo Bodini and Gianluca Salvatori on “Financing the Social and Solidarity Economy” and “The Finance Sector and the Social and Solidarity Economy,”
- and one by Giulia Galera with Leila Giannetto on “Migrants, Refugees and the Social and Solidarity Economy“.
UNTFSSE Knowledge hub is a free, open-access online platform that comprises a repository of a body of knowledge on SSE. On the platform, you can search for outputs on social and solidarity economy as a means of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Encyclopedia of the Social and Solidarity Economy is a comprehensive reference text that explores how the social and solidarity economy (SSE) plays a significant role in creating and protecting economic activities and relations from commercialisation and bureaucratisation and transforming them into democratic ones. Identifying and summarising knowledge on the key issues and topics associated with the SSE contributes to active communication amongst diverse actors of SSE policy-making and practices.
The Encyclopedia will serve as an essential tool for scholars and students of comparative social policy, international economics, and economic sociology.
