Italian agricultural cooperatives: characteristics and relevance in the agrifood sector
As part of the activities envisaged by the National Rural Network project, the Research Report “Italian agricultural cooperatives: characteristics and relevance in the agrifood sector” has been produced. The Report is the result of collaboration between CREA – Policy and Bioeconomy and Euricse, both of which have been working on the topic for years, at a time when cooperation model in agriculture is finding renewed interest thanks to the CAP, which gives the promotion of collaborative processes a crucial role within one of the specific objectives of the CAP 2023-2027 aimed at “Improving the position of farmers in the value chain”.
The report takes an in-depth look at the situation of agricultural cooperatives in Italy, highlighting their potential, challenges and key role in supporting the rural economy and agrifood system.
The contribution of Euricse researchers to this volume is part of the research activities promoted by the Program Agreement between the Autonomous Province of Trento and Euricse.
