Credit cooperatives and Italian enterprises in the second phase of the crisis
The report aims to examine the impacts of the economic crisis on bank-business relations in Italy during 2008-2014. It focuses on the analysis of changes in credit supply, the consequences of the reduction in business financing, and the deterioration in the quality of bank loans. It also seeks to identify differences in behavior between cooperative credit banks and other major financial institutions.
It also aims to examine the characteristics of enterprises financed by cooperative credit banks compared with those financed by other banks, as well as to compare the results with previous surveys to assess any changes over time.
This paper is part of the Third Euricse | 2015 report “Cooperative Economy. Relevance, evolution and new frontiers of Italian cooperation“.
