Unlocking the power of Socially Responsible Public Procurement

10 January 2024

In a bold stride toward a socially responsible and sustainable future, the European Commission is spearheading the ‘Training and Awareness-raising Activities on Socially Responsible Public Procurement‘ project across all EU 27 Member States. This initiative is a pivotal step in achieving the twin objectives of raising awareness of public buyers on the benefits of socially responsible public procurement (SRPP) and empowering social economy enterprises (SEEs) with opportunities for expanded market access.

An in-depth analysis of communication needs is being conducted on behalf of the European Commission, with a primary focus on public authorities and social economy actors, and a secondary focus on procurement experts. The analysis seeks to understand what communication channels, tools and platforms are currently preferred.
