Euricse aims to support and conduct research activities that bridge the divide between current dominant theoretical models and the specific features characterizing cooperative and social enterprises.

Starting in 2010, Euricse’s research activity has been organized along six areas that follow different methodological and analytical frameworks, whilst still sharing a common approach. Specifically, so as to facilitate a deeper understanding of the nature and the characteristics and the roles of cooperative and social enterprises, Euricse undertakes both theoretical as well as empirical research activities, in an effort to find both those elements that are common to all not for-profit forms of enterprises, as well as what makes them different. Furthermore, Euricse is multidisciplinary in its approach, promoting collaboration within the national and international scientific community through partnerships and shared research projects, and supporting the engagement of young researchers in the topics of focus of the organization.

Finally, Euricse is a driver for the circulation of the results of the research, within the entrepreneurial community as much as the scientific community.

Area 3 / The impact of cooperative and social enterprises on economic development and the creation of social capital

Area 4 / Legal frameworks and policies supporting cooperative and social enterprises

Area 5 / International models of cooperative and social enterprises

Area 6 / Management and governance of cooperative and social enterprises
