Between health and welfare services: a chain to be recomposed. Evolution and role of the Third Sector Entities in Italy
Faced with the need for a territorial medicine that needs, first and foremost, project and vision, what is the active role of the Third Sector in health and social welfare services in Italy? This question is sought to be answered by this Research Report, which returns a snapshot of the sector in quantitative terms and in terms of comparison between the different regions of Italy and other European states, with reference to spending and the supply of services, broadening the field to health, care, and social welfare system protection.
The data presented represent the added value given by all Third Sector entities in the different local systems, and the ability of these organizations to link health interventions with social welfare interventions. Indeed, it is from the collaboration of all the actors involved that the strengthening of both systems (health and social welfare) can result, fostering a driving effect in the activation of demand and the satisfaction of emerging needs.
The Research Report “Between Health and Care: a Chain to Recompose. Evolution and the Role of the Third Sector Entities in Italy”, by Eddi Fontanari as part of the Program Agreement between Euricse and the Autonomous Province of Trento, is part of a context of rethinking and redevelopment of the health and social welfare service supply chain in Italy and follows a line of research that Euricse has been concerned with since the emergence of the pandemic, carrying out various reflections on the subject.
